14 August 2008
AsureQuality has been named as a finalist in the 2008 Westpac Manukau Business Excellence Award in the ACC Workplace Safety category.
With a proud history of partnering with Australasia’s food related industry spanning over 110 years, AsureQuality is the country’s leading provider of food quality assurance and biosecurity services.
AsureQuality has grown steadily over recent years, and has made a number of strategic acquisitions to supplement its capabilities in both New Zealand and Australia. The company now employs more than 1700 staff at 140 sites across both countries.
The finalist title recognises the work achieved out of the AsureQuality Airport Oaks office based near the airport.
In the forestry and horticulture industries AsureQuality looks after some 1000 customers. At Airport Oaks 28,000 certificates are issued annually to customers who have met the appropriate requirements to export their goods internationally.
“We are passionate about being the best at what we do”, said CEO Tony Egan. “We're driven by a single-minded focus to add value to our customers' businesses”, and guided by our vision to "be the best partner in food safety and biosecurity".
“One of our core values is staff wellbeing and health and safety in the workplace. Our commitment to the wellbeing of the people who work at AsureQuality, and those that enter any one of our 140 sites, is vital to our success as a business,” he said.
AsureQuality is looking forward to the Awards function night being held at the TelstraClear Stadium in Manukau on the 5th September.
